Apple has recently released their iPhone 4, and even before its release it created quite a buzz through the technology industry. The iPhone 4 features a super slim design that blows away its current phone contemporaries. The iPhone 4 is about 9 millimeters in width, which makes it 3 millimeters smaller than its older sibling, the iPhone 3GS. This is a 24% reduction in size. The iPhone 4 is also less wide than the iPhone 3GS, making it perfect to stow anywhere and less clumsy to hold. The iPhone 4 still weighs in at 136 grams, but because of its slimmer and sleeker design, it is a must have for just about everyone.

As always, Apple has outdone itself with the design of the new iPhone 4 - standing out not only from other manufacturer's smartphones, but from its own iPhone 3GS as well. The iPhone4 boasts a ultra-slim design that delivers nearly 25% less bulk and a greater hand-held experience at a full 3 mm thinner than its 3GS predecessor, which was 12.3 mm deep. Apple even managed to reduce the side to side dimensions to 59m -62 mm, though the iPhone 4's weight remains unchanged at 136 grams.
While these enhancements alone are enough to justify upgrading to the Apple iPhone 4, they have thrown in even more convenient features for the discerning customer. After all, the iPhone 4, while being smaller, shares the iPhone 3GS' same 3.5" screen, but now it can carry an even higher 960 x 640 pixel resolution. Each inch carries 326 pixels, making it the highest resolution phone screen you can find on the market today.
This new display is actually called "Retina" technology, since it is so clear. This is because there are more pixels per square inch than the human eye can possibly process. What this means to the user is that they never have to worry about seeing the images on their screen clearly. Apple made sure that the iPhone 4 has the same screen technology that is found in most iMacs and iPads, just in a much smaller size. And because of these qualities, your iPhone 4's picture and resolution will look great at any angle.
The A4 CPU included with the iPhone 4 is the same one that powers the iPad. What's more the iPhone 4 has a greater number of capabilities with the new iOS 4 operating system, including the ability to more easily multitask. While you may think that they took too long to do it, Apple merely wanted to bide their time until they could release a finished product, as with the copy and past features.
The iPhone 4 also made significant improvements on its still and motion photography capabilities. Apple has included a high definition video camera that can shoot thirty frames per second at 720p. The user also has the tap-to-focus ability with the video recorder that Apple previously issued only with its still-image camera. The improved camera can now shoot images up to five mega-pixels (compared with three in the 3GS) with the same amount of pixels. In addition, the iPhone 4's camera now comes with a backlit sensor, an integrated LED flash, and 5X zoom feature.
